Welcome to Lin's Kids Child Care & Prekindergarten Program, a family-owned and operated licensed early learning center proudly serving children and families in East Baltimore, Maryland for 20 years.

Licensed by the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE), Office of Child Care, our program provides high-quality early childhood education and care for infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children. We offer Infant Child Care Services, Twos & Young Threes Child Care Services, Pre-K 3, and Pre-K 4, along with before and after care to meet the needs of working families.

Our center is proud to be an MSDE Accredited Early Childhood Education Program and to have earned the highest Maryland EXCELS Quality Rating – Level 5, reflecting our commitment to educational excellence, continuous quality improvement, and exceptional outcomes for children. Our dedicated educators are credentialed through the Maryland Child Care Credential Program and participate in ongoing professional development to ensure every child receives a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning experience.

Our Story

Lin's Kids Child Care & Prekindergarten Program was founded by Chanta Brown Ivery, whose passion for nurturing children and supporting families has guided the program for more than two decades. Inspired by the love, strength, and values of her family's matriarch, Linda "Lin," the program was established to provide a safe, loving, and educational environment where children can flourish.

Today, Lin's Kids continues to grow as a second-generation family business, with India Ivery, Director of Education, helping lead the program's vision for educational excellence and innovation. As a mother-daughter-duo, together, they have expanded opportunities for children and families by achieving MSDE Accreditation, earning Maryland EXCELS Level 5, and offering high-quality Prekindergarten programming that prepares children for lifelong success.

What began as a dream to serve children with love and purpose has grown into a trusted community resource where relationships matter, learning is celebrated, and every child is encouraged to reach their full potential.

MSDE Accreditation

Lin's Kids Child Care & Prekindergarten Program is proud to be an MSDE Accredited Early Childhood Education Program, a distinction awarded by the Maryland State Department of Education to programs that demonstrate excellence beyond state licensing requirements. Accreditation reflects our commitment to continuous quality improvement, effective teaching practices, family engagement, safe learning environments, and positive outcomes for children. Programs earning MSDE Accreditation complete a rigorous self-study, develop a program improvement plan, and successfully complete an external validation process. Accreditation is valid for five years and demonstrates a sustained commitment to educational excellence.

Lin's Kids Child Care & Prekindergarten Program has earned a Maryland EXCELS Level 5 Quality Rating, the highest quality rating awarded through Maryland's Quality Rating and Improvement System. Level 5 programs meet nationally recognized standards and are state or nationally accredited, demonstrating excellence in licensing and compliance, staff qualifications, professional development, developmentally appropriate practices, family engagement, and program administration. Our Level 5 rating reflects our dedication to providing exceptional early learning experiences that prepare children for success in school and in life.
